Amazon Prime Video Watch Party now available for the US user

If you are a US-based Amazon Prime Video user, then there is good news. A new feature has been added and it is called the Amazon Prime Video Watch Party. And with this new feature, Amazon will let you co-watch Prime videos with friends in the US.

What makes this new feature very interesting is that you can invite up to 100 people to join the watch party. And while you watch movies and TV shows online together. It’s almost like watching side-by-side in real life — without having to share your popcorn.

A similar feature had been launched for Twitch back in 2019 allowing streamers watch videos with their viewers.

The watch party is created and then the link is shared to friends to join. And as the watch party creator, you’ll be in charge of controls, providing all attendees with a cinema-like synchronised viewing experience.

Watch Parties are available on desktop browsers, except Apple’s Safari. Other devices such as Fire TV, smart TVs, game consoles, connected media players, mobile phones, and tablets are currently not supported.
