It’s been a while the last Dragon Ball Super Movie was released. But all hope is not lost for the fans of this anime fantasy. A New Dragon Ball Super Movie Revealed by Akira Toriyama from his message where he said this second movie will be in honor of the Goku Day.

He didn’t say much about revealing the plot but promised we should expect something extreme and entertaining. And based on his words, we may be in for some unexpected characters coming in to the show.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the first Dragon Ball Super movie was released in 2018. The film represents the first appearance of a reworked iteration of Broly in the main Dragon Ball continuity, following the character’s non-canon appearances in the films Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan (1993), Broly – Second Coming (1994), and Bio-Broly (1994).

Dragon Ball Super: Broly received critical acclaim from fans and critics, becoming the highest-grossing Dragon Ball film ever, the highest-grossing anime film of 2018, and one of the highest-grossing anime films of all time.

So, when will the new Dragon Ball super movie arrive?

Toei Animation and Akira Toriyama revealed that a new Dragon Ball Super film will be released in 2022. And as earlier mentioned, they didn’t reveal much about the plot.

Akira Toriyama

An all new movie since “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” is currently in the making! Just like the previous movie, I’m heavily leading the story and dialogue production for another amazing film.

I really shouldn’t talk too much about the plot yet, but be prepared for some extreme and entertaining bouts, which may feature an unexpected character.

We’ll be charting through some unexplored territory in terms of visual aesthetics to give the audience an amazing ride, so I hope everybody will look forward to the new movie!
