Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 to Unfold in July, here is a leak of the official promotional image

Samsung has officially confirmed that it will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold5 in the last week of July at an Unpacked event in Seoul, Korea. The phone has already leaked a bunch of times already, but today marks a premiere, as we get our first look at an official promotional image.

The image shows the Galaxy Z Fold5 with a gapless hinge, which has been rumoured for some time. The overall design is very reminiscent of the Fold4, including the number of cameras and their positioning. The speakers are in the same places too, as are the power and volume buttons. The S Pen is also present in the render, a reminder that the device will support it.

The Galaxy Z Fold5 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy SoC, just like the Galaxy S23 family. It is expected to have a 7.6-inch internal display and a 6.2-inch external display, both with 120Hz refresh rates. The camera system is expected to be similar to the Fold4, with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera.

The Galaxy Z Fold5 is expected to start at $1,799, which is $100 less than the Fold4. It will be available in three colours: black, white, and green.
