A medical centre under construction against the COVID-19 was violently destroyed in Ivory coast. This event took place in Yopougon, also known colloquially as Yop City, a suburb of Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Angry residents of a working-class neighbourhood in Abidjan violently dismantled a centre under construction on Sunday, April 5 as part of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Indeed, on videos circulating on social networks, we see dozens of people at least dismantling a tent under construction, some shouting: “We don’t want it!”

This type of violence during this period of world Coronavirus pandemic is quite surprising coming from fa country 261 cases and 3 deaths.

However, according to an official of the Ministry of Health, this structure was not a patient treatment center, but “a collection center” which was under construction.
