Free online MD5 Generator Tool. This online tool allows you to generate the MD5 hash of any string. The MD5 message-digest algorithm is a cryptographically broken but still widely used hash function producing a 128-bit hash value. Although MD5 was initially designed to be used as a cryptographic hash function, it has been found to suffer from extensive vulnerabilities.
An MD5 hash is created by taking a string of any length and encoding it into a 128-bit fingerprint. Encoding the same string using the MD5 algorithm will always result in the same 128-bit hash output.
MD5 is based on a hash function that verifies that a file you sent matches the file received by the person you sent it to. Previously, MD5 was used for data encryption, but now it's used primarily for authentication.
