Rumours of the Galaxy S23 FE: A budget-friendly variant of the Galaxy S23

According to the rumour mill, sales for the Korean company’s flagship slab-style line in the second quarter (April to June) are expected to be down 20% compared to the Galaxy S22 series from last year. This decline is attributed to lower-than-expected demand from general consumers. It appears that most early adopters had already purchased the latest devices by March, resulting in a lack of interest from others in Samsung’s flagship offerings.

To address this situation, Samsung has supposedly decided to expedite the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE. This model, rumoured to be released before the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5, is speculated to be unveiled in July or possibly even earlier. The Galaxy S23 FE is said to be a budget-friendly variant of the Galaxy S23, with only a few specifications changed, allowing for a shorter development period than usual.

It’s important to note that these details are based on unconfirmed rumours, so it’s advisable to approach them with scepticism. Regarding the rumoured specifications of the Galaxy S23 FE, reports suggest it will feature Samsung’s Exynos 2200 SoC in all regions, a 50 MP main camera, a 4,500 mAh battery, and options for 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. Earlier reports indicated that the device would launch “months after” the new foldable, but the recent rumour suggests a significant shift in the timeline.

Please keep in mind that these are unofficial reports, and the actual release dates and specifications may differ from the information provided.
