According to recent reports, the Sony Xperia 1 V will be priced at RMB 8,000 (~$1,160 or £919) in China, which is cheaper than its predecessor, the Xperia 1 IV, by around 6 percent. This competitive pricing strategy may be a good move for Sony, given the popularity of Xperia phones in China.
However, this aggressive pricing may not apply to global markets, where the Xperia 1 V may be priced similarly to its predecessor. Nevertheless, customers may still find it an attractive option as the phone is reported to come with upgrades such as a next-generation low-noise sensor for high-quality imaging in all lighting conditions.
Leaked renders of the Xperia 1 V suggest that the phone will come in White, Black, and Green color options, with a 120Hz 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with 16GB RAM.
