iQOO, a popular Chinese smartphone brand, is preparing to launch the iQOO Neo 8 series in China on May 23. The company has been gradually revealing specifications for the iQOO Neo 8 Pro model. In a recent poster, iQOO confirmed that the device will have a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) using the Sony IMX866VCS sensor. This sensor is known for its exceptional photography, especially in low-light conditions, and is also found in Vivo’s X90 series.
While details about the secondary cameras on the iQOO Neo 8 Pro have not been disclosed yet, it is speculated that the base variant, iQOO Neo 8, may also have a 50-megapixel primary camera but possibly with a different sensor.
Reports suggest that the iQOO Neo 8 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset and come with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Storage options are expected to go up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. On the other hand, the iQOO Neo 8 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
For extended usage, both smartphones may come with a sizable 5,000mAh battery and support 120W fast charging. The iQOO Neo 8 Pro is anticipated to have an under-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. It will debut with the Android 13 operating system customized with iQOO’s own OriginOS 3.0 user interface. Both variants will support Wi-Fi 7 and feature a self-developed Vivo V1+ chipset.
With its high-resolution primary camera, powerful performance, and other notable features, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro is poised to deliver an impressive smartphone package and a top-notch photography experience for users.
