A couple of months back, Wabetainfo ↗ reported this feature that enables WhatsApp users to mute unknown callers, which was expected to be included in a future update of the WhatsApp beta for Android app. With this feature, users can exercise greater control over their privacy and enhance their user experience by avoiding unwanted calls from unknown individuals. After downloading the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.10.7 update from the Google Play Store, we can verify that this feature is being rolled out to some beta testers.
For those having this beta version, they can check the availability of the feature by going to WhatsApp Settings > Privacy. It should be noted that the ability to silence unknown callers allows users to mute calls from unknown phone numbers, but they will still be shown in the Calls tab and in the notification center.
