Re:Monster is a Japanese light novel series penned by Kogitsune Kanekiru and brought to life through the illustrations of Yamaada. From May 2011 to 2018, the narrative unfolded online on the user-generated novel platform, Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Subsequently, AlphaPolis took the reins, publishing nine primary volumes, a side story volume, and an additional volume between August 2012 and August 2017. Haruyoshi Kobayakawa translated the story into manga, serialized it on AlphaPolis’ website in March 2014, and compiled it into ten tankōbon volumes.
Seven Seas Entertainment holds the North American license for the manga. The sequel, Re:Monster: Ankoku Tairiku-hen, authored by Kanekiru and illustrated by Naji Yanagida, debuted in July 2018 under AlphaPolis, with three volumes released to date. Studio Deen is set to bring the series to life in an anime television adaptation scheduled to premiere in April 2024.
